The curatorial team at the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts wanted to do something different for their upcoming exhibition celebrating the institution’s centennial. They called upon Flutter & Wow to help layout over a hundred works from the collection, and figure out how to create juxtapositions that would provoke new and contemporary conversations.

By pairing works and implementing some unorthodox arrangements, we were able to create an exhibition full of intrigue and fresh wonder, exhibiting pieces that had not seen the light of day in decades, and placing them amongst works they had only seen in storage.
