Artiodactyl Hall

University of Michigan Research Museums Center, 2018

Exhibition consultation, planning, design, and installation

From local salmon specimens to impala, water buffalo, reindeer, warthog, and many more, the University of Michigan’s Research Museums Center now boasts sixty stunning taxidermy mounts throughout its hallways. Donated to the university by a single collector, these mounts were previously housed in the Ruthven Building, but found their way into storage when the building closed for renovations in 2016. When it was determined that the mounts would find a new home in the recently opened, state-of-the-art Research Museums Center, Flutter & Wow was tasked with designing the spatial layout of the specimens and the exhibit labels. What a cool learning experience for our team, and for those who walk the halls.
